The Doc Fossey guitar is an innovative instrument designed for five string banjo players. It allows the five string banjo player to employ the finger picking style of play into other genres of music beyond bluegrass, such as folk, rock, classical, and many more.
The Doc Fossey guitar is a handmade, solid hard wood instrument composed of an Engelmann spruce soundboard, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a sapele (mahogany) neck. It contains sapele binding, abalone trim with a traditional banjo style abalone fret inlay, Gotoh® gold tuners with pearloid buttons, and a high-gloss finish. |
