Precise head tension for

This tool gives me the confidence to adjust my banjo head tension.
Recently, my banjo head suddenly split inside its case at night, which was a huge shock. I had been using it for several years around G tuning. Simply keeping it tuned to G may not have been enough; it probably split because the tension had been uneven in the past.
This tool provides clear, measurable readings at a glance, allowing me to hit the 88-89 range recommended by Mr. Ross Nickerson .
I highly recommend this tool for banjo players, especially those who want to achieve a bright, crisp tone through self-maintenance.

Bright tone & durable Presto shaped tailpiece

This Presto cast tailpiece is much durable to maintain sufficient tension to the strings when compared with classic Presto for many years. My classic Presto with Gibson logo has been unfortunately widened angle and insufficient tension on strings after many years (20 years). When I tried to find the replacement, I found this one. No worry to be widen angle or broken for many years (or life time) with sufficient tension on strings. Also, bright tone! If you prefer Presto shaped tailpiece to other ones, this is the one. Highly recommended.
Customer service of BanjoTeacher.com is excellent with quick and reliable response and arrangement including shipping.

American made and foreign. This banjo filled my need. The Snuffy Smith bridge really made a difference. Brighter sound. I’m very happy with the purchase. They also set the banjo up and added railroad spikes. Very good intermediate banjo. My only complaint are the tuners. Will for sure put them on. But not a huge issue. I highly recommend using this company. Ross is a super nice person and very helpful. He person called me and updated me. I will definitely buy from them again. Thanks again Ross.

Decided to try these child size ones and they were perfect. I barely even had to adjust them! They also shipped and arrived much faster than I expected!

Hi Mr. Nickerson. This is Timothy Marshall down here in Royse City, Texas. I received the Ob 150 WF on Sunday Dec 28. And I just want to say thank you for all your efforts and helping me choose a good beginner Banjo. I was surprised it came so early and your help in all of this is so greatly appreciated. I am so happy with the Banjo and all you have done in helping me obtain it. I am writing my experience with your service as 6 stars out of 5. My daughter is saving up and when she has the funds together will be contacting you. I so appreciate the book you sent and the DVDs you have no idea how much that helped also. I am enjoying them and I can’t believe how well thought out you were when creating them. Please feel free to take this text and post it anywhere on your website, Facebook, etc., as an official review of mine. Could not be happier! Happy New Year’s!
Rocking the OB 150 WF and loving it!!!

Love the CC50TR

Ross, I got my CC50TR. Monday morning and I've already played it a lot, even took it out on Tuesday afternoon to a friend's house to play some songs and let him try it out, and Thursday to entertain the old folks at the senior center. Wait, I'm an old folk. Anyway I really went back and forth before I bought it over whether I would really play a short scale banjo very much, but it is already my grab and go banjo. For the price, I feel like I got a lot of banjo and I'm not afraid to just throw it in the back seat of the truck and take it with me somewhere. I think it is going to get a lot of playing. So you and Gold Tone are three for three.

It's simply a helluva banjo

Wal--I don't pretend to be an expert on banjos. I've seen and played some very good ones. Nevertheless, this banjo kinda takes the cake. It's simply a helluva banjo for 2 grand, all I need and more. I mean seriously, fit, finish, compact, ergonomic, looks great, sounds great outa the box. It needs to readjust to the world and me, but as we get things dialed in, I look forward to spending some serious time on this axe. Upgrade my playing, too. Ross, I thank you for your assistance in getting this done. No regrets, that's for sure. Thanks for the spikes, they work great, also all the materials, lots to explore. And my lonesome little Samick will make a fine studio banjo for a student who needs a little better instrument to play. I start at the School of American Music next week, the director seems to think things will be rolling along in six months or so, we'll see. It's not like I don't have plenty to do, but this situation seemed too promising to pass up, so ulp, we'll just have to dial things up a bit. Hope you have a nice holiday. I know I will.
peace
Jim
