Ross's instruction has made a big difference in my playing
I have been a member of Banjoteacher. Com for many years and have never regretted or wondered why I am a member here. Ross's instruction has made a big difference in my playing and understanding the instrument. I would not be close to the level I play at level without his help! His book the Banjo Encyclopedia is pure gold for anyone wanting to learn this challenging instrument the right way and in a fulfilling fashion that works to defeat the struggles many intermediate players run into. There are methods taught in the course I've not seen anywhere, and the top quality cd audio / video files will get that notion of what the rolls, licks pull-offs slides etc need to sound like to have that 5-string drive and bounce. I was not taught to play hard and play fast till I came to Ross' site, nor did I know how to play that way. I also did not know what to master before taking on so many tunes; the courses here teach that over and over. It's a highly valued resource I return to time and again to check timing, tone, and rhythm.

Brand new member
Looking forward to the benefits of my membership. I have been playing banjo for about a year and have benefited from some of Ross' on-line/U-tube stuff.
