When I heard about bringing back the composite design I though oh good, but expected something like the 1970's Harmony harmony banjos. Oops, not even close, these are way better. They have a wood neck and the intonation is as spot on as the expensive bluegrass banjos I use. The body is of much higher quality too and the tone was great. I mean that too. This is a great banjo and a lot of banjo for the cost. The pictures don't really do it justice. I recommend them.Note: The Gold Tone AC 5 is a completely different banjo from the Gold Tone AC 1. It has a blonde maple neck and a completely different body and resonator.
