The Gold Tone EB-6 6-string Electric Banjo has great tone and intonation. The EB-6 sounds great plugged in and also when practicing acoustically.
The Goldtone EB-6 is a new lower priced edition, with simple appointments but have a tough "cool" look. It uses a custom-made Remo eight-inch pre-tuned banjo head that needs no tensioning hardware. This choice greatly enhances tuning stability. The contoured mahogany body is well-balanced and features our slimline Canadian maple neck. A stacked humbucking pick-up eliminates feedback problems and our heavy-duty “Terminator” tailpiece will accept loop-end or ball-end strings.

I can't say enough about these EB electric banjos. Not only are they at an amazing price for what you get they sound great plugged in and also acoustically when practicing. The intonation is spot on and it's a very good quality instrument especially at this price point. I have the five string EB-5 and I love it. They look good too and are fun to play and practice on.
