Cobalt Nick Picks

Cobalt Nick Picks at Banjo Teacher.com

nick picks
Cobalt coated special designed custom picks for Ross Nickerson specially made for solid tone, comfort, and speed. Available only at BanjoTeacher.com

Bob Perry custom made these picks for me by my specifications. They fit back further on your finger like I requested for more comfort and power. The no hole design avoids those finger through the hole sores and more importantly gives the pick more mass for a thicker, fatter tone. These picks sound great, they're comfortable and the cobalt coating does what it says it does. The coating cuts string noise to nill and the picks glide over the strings. Bob also roughens up the inside of the pick so it grips better. I've been playing a long time, these picks are a break through.

When pickers scoff at spending more than a couple of bucks for picks I take exception to that. Where does the tone start??? How can someone invest so much time, money, practice and set-up work on their banjo without listening to the tone of different picks, and going for the best. Thick full tone, no string scratch, a better grip, how comfortable the pick feels on your finger, how the pick responds, these are all important factors! They certainly are to me. These picks work great and I think you'll agree that they're better than what you're using now.

Note: The cobalt coating does wear off eventually depending on the amount of use. Nick Picks can be recoated for 4.00 by sending them to Bob Perry, the manufacturer. His contact information is on the pick box. The Picks still sound and play good even if the coating has worn off too.

The picks have money back satisfaction guarantee too.
If you don't like just send them back for a full refund. No questions asked.

...... I really like the way they set further back on the finger. I take lessons on Friday and after my instructor heard me play with the new "Nick Picks",,, he told me to throw my old picks (Dunlop) away. ha

...... Oh man, when they arrived and I slipped them on, they were as snug as a bug on a rug. I thought I died and went to heaven. I could hardly tell I had them on. They were everything, and a little more, then you said. Just as a beginner, the comfort alone made them worth every penny.
Happy picking, Tim Dellinger

.....Hi Nick, this is another order for 2 more sets of your Kick Ass picks.. I am impressed with their tone and the increased finger dexterity I have using your picks. I am going to place one set with each of my 4 banjos

........Just wanted to let you know that I got my new Nick Picks. Thanks for carrying such a nice product.......Tried your nic picks from a guy I was teaching banjo today. I thought they were great and had to get some. I'll be be showing these off, I think they are fantasic. Founder of Banjo Gazette and British Bluegrass News

....Hey Ross, I got my order two days ago and I am amazed a the difference that the Nick Picks are making in my playing. I have had my banjo for about a month now and had been using the basic Dunlop finger picks from the  local guitar store. Yours are so much more comfortable and the thicker metal gives a much more positive feel; fast and smooth (unlike my playing). Thanks for creating such a great product, it is a real help for a beginner like me. .

.......The picks and pick pocket have just arrived, nice and comfortable and my tone has improved

......Hi Ross, I got the new ones. I love 'em!

.....They are comfy, secure, and solid -- Thanks

.....I received my new finger and thumb picks today and, WOW, what a difference they make in my playing. The tone is incredible, and I have increased my playing speed dramatically! I started learning the banjo 2 years ago at 66; now at 68 my old fingers don't move as fast any more. But, the new picks have really helped.

.....Hello Ross: Got the Nick Picks yesterday and they work like MAGIC. You would sell them by the truck load if people only knew of them and tried them. They give such a clear crisp sound with so little effort that it really helps with my finger control.  Regards...Floyd

..........Thank you for sending me the two Nick Picks you kindly offered to help me overcome a problem, I am still experimenting but so far they've enabled me to practice with more comfort and clearer tone than I have managed previously. Your help and kindness is appreciated and has reinforced my respect for you and the care you show your customers. Thanks again.

........Just got my Nick Picks and I must say they are a lot more comfortable to wear and the tone is great! I like how you have only one of the Nick Picks marked with an "N" I always have to try on my picks to find the right one for each finger that I sized Now I know that the one marked "N" is my middle finger pick!

........I think that they were definitely worth the price. My fingers are small and so I had to squeeze the picks down to size for a good fit, but after that I find them to be greatly beneficial to my picking enjoyment. Great product!

.....I could not believe how much a simple change of picks could alter the tone of my banjo. I play a Gold Tone BG 250 F. While I had liked its playability, I had always felt it wasn’t quite bright enough. In fact over the last 9 months my right hand has been drifting closer and closer to the bridge trying to extract a little more brightness. When I played my first few experimental rolls with the Nick Picks, I was blown away at how bright the sound was. At first I thought it was too much. After a couple of weeks now I am getting used to them, and find I’m not cramping the bridge as much as I was. In particular I found tone production up the neck was way better then my previous Dunlop picks. As for comfort they are heads and shoulders above the old Dunlops which used to actually hurt after a long session. I can play for 3 or 4 hours without any discomfort at all.
