The Deering Banjo Mute makes it easier to practice your banjo more by practicing banjo quieter. Knowing you are not disturbing anyone it will give you the freedom to do the necessary repetitions and skill building practice that is NEEDED so you can take the mute off and make beautiful music later.
The banjo mute by Deering is easy to take on and off and reduces the overall banjo volume a lot, and without taking the resonator off.
The Deering Banjo Mute is sturdy and of good quality. It's made of solid brass and fits 4, 5, and 6 string banjos.
It is also adjustable for all bridge widths and does not get in your way at all when you are ppicking. this mute does not hinder right hand position.
You just slide the mute on the bridge lengthwise because one end is open.
