For a sweet frailing or clawhammer tone the MM-150 is the original open back and has been very well received.
Options include a long neck (MM-150LN).
The MM 150 open back has 24 brackets, White Ladye tone ring (a three part tone ring famous for its plunky and sustaining tone) clear finish on maple, chrome-plated parts, maple neck, planetary tuners, and a thinner maple rim allowing more "air space" in the tone chamber. It is equipped with a Remo Fiberskyn head, rosewood fingerboard, and diamond inlay
Hi, I am thrilled with my recent purchase of a MM-150 Gold Tone. The workmanship is flawless, the tone is clear and articulated and the projection is amazing. In some ways it sounds better than old standby Deering Sierra that cost me more than three times as much. In a word, exceptional. Alex Gardner
