RK 80 Company Description
The RK-R80 Professional combines classic pre-war style features and desirable modern touches to create a great-sounding bluegrass banjo. The Professional features a mahogany resonator, mahogany neck, bound ebony fretboard, American Standard thread hardware, 20-hole tone ring and a 3-ply rim. The Professional features the traditional Recording King floral peghead and inlay and an authentic Mastertone-style flange

About Ross Nickerson
Ross Nickerson has recorded with some of the top names in Bluegrass music. His banjo playing has been featured on a compilation CD called Ultimate Banjo that included banjo legends, Earl Scruggs, Eddie Adcock, Sonny Osborne and Jim Mills. Ross has appeared on stages all over the world and been under contract with Disneyland and Opryland in Nashville. Ross has performed with The Riders in the Sky, The Oak Ridge Boys as well as picking with and sharing the stage with many of the best banjo players in the world.
Ross’s CD Blazing the West won many awards including being named by Country Music Television as one of the top ten CDs to pick up in 2003. Ross's newest CD is called Let's Kick It that features hard driving traditional Bluegrass Banjo with Ross’s own personal touch. Accompanying Ross on the CD are members of the well known top Bluegrass Band "Blue Highway".
Throughout his career Ross Nickerson has always enjoyed sharing his knowledge and helping others to learn to play the banjo.
